About Us
Changing Lives, Together
Our Why
Where Others See Limits, We See Potential
Tanzania is rich in beauty and culture. Yet, for many persons with disabilities, these wonders remain out of reach. WeConnect was created to change that—by opening the gates of opportunity and creating systems where everyone belongs.
Whether it’s a child receiving their first learning materials, a young adult learning a trade, or a person with a disability experiencing a national park for the first time—every moment of access is a step toward equality.

Our Founders
Rooted in Local Leadership. Guided by Women.
We Connect Foundation was founded by passionate Tanzanian women who saw the need for true inclusion across tourism, education, and everyday life. Their lived experiences, deep community roots, and unwavering dedication have shaped this movement into what it is today.
Through their leadership, We Connect not only breaks barriers, it sets new standards for inclusive change across Africa.
What We Do
WeConnect Foundation champions a holistic model of inclusion:
- Inclusive Safari Experience: Tanzania’s first large-scale accessible safari, connecting hundreds of people with disabilities to nature, joy, and national pride.
- Education Access: Supporting students with disabilities through materials, advocacy, and learning resources.
- Vocational Empowerment: Equipping individuals with tools like sewing machines and carpentry kits to foster independence and income generation.
- Mobility & Accessibility: Providing wheelchairs, walking aids, and equipment that unlock daily freedom and dignity.
- Mental Well-being & Inclusion: Building community through events, campaigns, and support networks that celebrate identity and reduce stigma.

Our Vision
A barrier-free Tanzania where no one is left behind, where everyone, regardless of ability, can access nature, education, and opportunity equally.
Our Mission
To empower persons with disabilities through inclusive safaris, education support, and tools for independence, building a more equal Tanzania.
Global Movement
We align with national and global goals for disability inclusion, working with partners to make accessibility a right, not a privilege, for all.
